The 7th Symposium on Workplace Drug Testing
20-21 June, 2011
Queen Margaret University Musselburgh Edinburgh,
Scotland EH21 6UU
| You are cordially invited, on behalf of the board of the EWDTS, to
Edinburgh and to the 7th Symposium on Workplace Drug Testing (WDT). With many European countries now developing legislation and guidelines, it is now more essential than
ever to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. |

|
The business programme is varied and of a very high quality, addressing scientific, legal and human resource issues with a line-up of quality speakers. The sessions
are of interest to beginners and experienced practitioners and topics range from the prevalence of drug abuse throughout Europe through the problems of collection, analysis and interpretation; the legal basis and policy-making for WDT and performance impairment, as well as a series of case studies.

|
|
The EWDTS guidelines are recommended by the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and, are the only recognised guidelines for WDT in Europe. The symposium will cover the revised guidelines for
urine testing; the recently published hair-testing guidelines and the forthcoming oral fluid guidelines as well as the planned guidelines for alcohol testing in different matrices.
The venue, Queen Margaret University (QMU), is brand new and offers great facilities. The centre of Edinburgh is just a short train ride away.
We look forward to welcoming you to Edinburgh and hope that you will find the event to be extremely rewarding culturally, professionally and personally.
